Alternate Transportation

TriMet provides bus, light rail and commuter rail transit services in the Portland, Oregon, metro area.

Cincinnati Area Senior Services provides group transportation for seniors, giving independence and mobility to people who otherwise would be homebound. We also offer transportation for individuals, including medical appointments.

Maple Knoll Outreach Services for Seniors is owned and operated by Maple Knoll Communities, a nonprofit organization with 170 years of experience serving older adults. Maple Knoll Outreach Services for Seniors is located on the Maple Knoll Village campus in Springdale, Ohio just near Tri-County Mall.

The MTA’s New York City Transit Access-A-Ride (AAR) Paratransit Service provides public transportation for eligible customers with disabilities that prevent them from using the public buses and subways.

Reduced fares are available for riders who are 65 or older or riders who have qualifying disabilities. The reduced fare is half the base fare. (For example, the base fare for subways and local buses is $2.75, so the reduced fare is $1.35.)

Project CART has been providing seniors with free individual and group transportation for over 30 years! Each year, thousands of passengers ages 60 and over, including those with wheelchairs, living in Manhattan Community Districts #1 through #8 – get where they need to go

More than 70,000 one-way transportation trips are provided to seniors in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County annually. The trips vary from group rides to meal sites for lunch and activities to grocery stores, to individual rides to medical appointments. Transportation is also provided to volunteer stations for Foster Grandparents.
