The Department of Aging and Disability Services programs are designed to: help people with disabilities and older adults live independently within their communities. Learn how to take care of your health, get transportation, and get the connections you need to live well. Explore programs and services that help older adults and people with disabilities live in their communities the way they want to.
Dial-A-Ride may be used by any Newington resident who is aged 55 or older or who has a disability in accordance with the American’s with Disabilities Act of 1990. Residents wishing to use the service must complete an application and sign a Dial-A-Ride passenger agreement. Once approved, passengers will be registered with the service.
CTtransit is the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT)-owned bus service. Several companies under contract to CTDOT operate services in metropolitan areas throughout Connecticut.
Dial-A-Ride is a locally-operated transportation service for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Most Connecticut towns offer Dial-A-Ride programs either through direct operation, in a collaborative with other entities or by contracting with another provider.

Based on the North Front Range MPO Riders Guide, FindMyRide includes a wide variety of transportation options across the North Front Range and while geared toward anyone, is designed to meet the needs of older adults and people with disabilities.
