District of Columbia: Senior Driver Information for DC
DC’s Department of Motor Vehicles has a page on its website specifically for seniors with information regarding licensing. In DC, drivers 70 years and older must renew their licenses in person and have their physician complete a certification on the applicant’s driver form. DC residents 70 and over must also pass an eye test. DC DMV also suggests that senior residents take an older adult driver safety course and list several options for doing so.
